William "Bill" Bicho

June 10, 1930 — February 26, 2020

William “Bill” J. Bicho, longtime resident of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal rest Wednesday night, February 26, 2020, following a sudden illness. He was 89.

Bill was born in Bowersville, Pennsylvania, on June 10, 1930, a son to John J. and Katherine (Kranyak) Bicho.

A 1948 graduate of Rossiter High School, Rossiter, Pennsylvania, he enlisted with the U.S. Army. Self was forgotten the day that Bill left his home to defend our flag and to help keep our country free during the Korean Conflict. He served bravely with the 24th Infantry while in Korea and Japan. He was honorably discharged from his duties in 1953.

He furthered his education in 1959 by attending the Shenango Valley Commercial Institute.

A spiritual man, he found solace in the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he belonged since 1948 and had served as an Usher. In addition, he is a current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sharon; and a Lifetime Member of Local #717 Electrical Workers, Warren, Ohio.

His vocation was a packer for Packard Electric, Warren, a position he dedicated 29 years of service to before he retired in 1988.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, and following both college & professional sports. He absolutely loved driving his “always new” Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, his devotion to his church was most important to him.

Bill is survived by his beloved extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, John T. Bicho, Joann Bicho & Helen Bicho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 1:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 79 Case Avenue, Sharon, Pennsylvania 16146, where friends and family may gather from 12 Noon - 1 PM prior to Mass. His celebration with conclude with military honors being rendered.
