Donald “Don” E. Lingenfelter, of Masury, Ohio, passed from this life Tuesday evening, September 21, 2021, while a patient at Sharon Regional Medical Center, after contracting COVID-19. He was 52.
Donald was born June 23, 1969, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, a son to Dennis L. & Donna J. (Bush) Lingenfelter.
He graduated in 1987 from Altoona High School and had worked as a re-conditioner at Advanced Auto Body, Sharon, Pennsylvania.
In his spare time, he loved cars; fixing cars, wrenching on cars, attending car shows, and driving them. In addition, Don enjoyed eating dinner out, especially at any new restaurant. However, being with his family brought him the most happiness.
Survivors include: his mother, Donna & her companion, Wayne Brownlee, of Brookfield, Ohio; his children, Donald M. Lingenfelter, of Sharon, Zachary T. Lingenfelter, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Luke J. Lingenfelter, of Brookfield, and Kendra M. Lingenfelter & her companion, Braydon Knauff, of Greenville; his grandchildren, Kailani Rose and Waylon "Opie"; his sister, Denise J. Lingenfelter-Weaver (Kenneth), of Mercer, Pennsylvania; his companion, Melissa Taylor; his nephew, Justin; and his extended family too.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, David M. Lingenfelter; paternal grandparents, Lloyd & Marie Lingenfelter; maternal grandparents, Lloyd & Doris Bush; and a great-niece, Jaycee A. Weaver.
A time of gathering to honor Don will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 6-9 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM, also in the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with family in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania.
