Wesley “Wes” LeRoy Double, of Masury, Ohio, rode off into his eternal sunset on Monday, March 30, 2026, while at home and surrounded by the love of his family. He was 82.
Wesley was born on June 6, 1943, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a son to Wesley C. and Dorothy L. (Black) Double.
Self was forgotten when he enlisted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged from his duties.
Upon his return home, he found employment working at G.A.T.X. and Reznor Heating. However, he may be remembered for his automobile salvage business “Double’s Used Parts” as well as when he was a self-employed refuse collector.
He was a 1961 graduate from Wilmington Area High School. He furthered his education at the New Castle School of Trades where he studied mechanics. He was a member of ABATE of Pennsylvania; Road Dogs Motorcycle Club and The Breed Motorcycle Club, where he held the nickname of "Jesus Christ".
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, and tinkering outside. In addition, Wes was an animal lover. He was a kind soul who was always willing to help everyone. He will truly be missed.
Mourning his loss are: wife, Rhonda L. (Davis) Double, whom he married August 10, 2002; children, Monica Gera (Charles), of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Wesley L. Double. II (Barbara), of Hubbard, Ohio, Marcy Garm (Frank), of Fredonia, Pennsylvania, Eric Law, of Masury, and Craig Newberry, of Niles, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 8 (+ 3 on the way) great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Magliocca (Louis), of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and best friend, Tom "Mad Medic" Brannon.
