Wayne S. Brownlee, 80, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed from this life during the morning hours of Saturday, June 1, 2024, following a period of declining health.
Wayne was born on St. Paddy’s Day, March 17, 1944, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, a son to John F. and Agnes F. (Evans) Brownlee.
He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1962, and retired from Sharon Steel where he worked as a craneman. In addition, he was a courier for Sharon Regional Hospital for many years.
He was of the Catholic faith and had belonged to the Sharon American Legion Post #1338; Sharon VFW Post #299, and the Farrell Italian Home.
In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing grass, playing pool, and “shooting the bull”. He was truly one of a kind.
Survivors include: fiancée, Donna Lingenfelter; daughters, Shannon Gabriel (Paul), Juanita Livi (Mike), & Stacy Strande (Steve); grandchildren, Casey & Chloe Croyle, Nathaniel Cunningham, Clint Regal (Hannah), Jack Regal, and Georgie Gabriel; great-granddaughter, Ada Regal; brother, John F. Brownlee; several nieces & nephews; a bonus daughter, Denise Weaver (Ken); and bonus grandchildren, Donnie Lingenfelter, Justin Weaver, Zachary Lingenfelter, Luke Lingenfelter, & Kendra Lingenfelter.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Erin Robb; and bonus sons, Donald & David Lingenfelter.
A time of gathering to honor Wayne will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 6 to 9 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
