Vance Franklin Evarts, Jr., of Brookfield, Ohio, formerly of Burlington, Vermont, entered the pearly gates of Heaven in the early hours of Friday, December 23, 2016, while under the care of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following a brief illness. He was 68.
Vance was born June 10, 1948 in Middlebury, Vermont, a son to Vance Franklin & Martha Grace (Abel) Evarts, Sr.
He worked as a caretaker throughout his life for several of the local prominent property owners.
As a born again Christian, his faith led him to follow the ministries of Jimmy Swaggart.
He enjoyed snow skiing, traveling the country with his wife, tending to his flowers, and had an affinity for history.
Survivors include: his wife, Diana Lou (Brown) Evarts, whom he married November 11, 1972; son, Daniel L. Evarts, Burlington, Vermont; daughter, Tina Louise Evarts, Akron, Ohio; step-daughter, Rosemarie Hardy, Winooski, Vermont; step-son, Keith; grandchildren, Suede L. Evarts, Tyler Evarts, & Sienna R. Evarts; seven step-grandchildren; and brothers, Allen and Craig Evarts, both of Vergennes, Vermont.
His parents preceded him in death.
In accordance to his wishes, no services will be held.
