Thomas R. Kolsky, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in the Emergency Room of Sharon Regional Hospital, from an apparent heart attack. He was 64.
Thomas was born August 4, 1956, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Thomas A. & Margaret Jean (Mikis) Kolsky.
He graduated in 1974 from Farrell High School, where he ran the hurdles on the varsity track team.
He worked as a trackman for Conrail Corp., Youngstown, Ohio, for over 20 years before retiring.
Tom was a member of the American Legion, Coudersport, Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a naturalist, who was a gifted gardener. In addition, he liked listening to Reggae Music.
Survivors include: his companion, Shirley Thompson; his children, Tera Kolsky, Christopher Thompson, and Steven Thompson, all of Farrell; his 10 grandchildren; his brothers, Tim Kolsky, of Farrell, David Kolsky, of Warren, Ohio, and Willie Kolsky, of Boston, Massachusetts; and his extended family, as well as his many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Tandy Kolsky & Jacob Kolsky; granddaughter, Mariah Brown; and niece & nephew, Autumn & Timothy Kolsky.
A time of gathering to honor Tom’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 4-7 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
