Terrance "Terry" Swogger
December 19, 1948 — October 26, 2015
Terrance E. “Terry” Swogger, Masury, passed away at 11:15 AM, Monday, October 26, 2015, at home, following a brief illness. He was 66.
Terry was born December 19, 1948, in Sharon, a son of Arthur “Art” and Gladys (Gunsley) Swogger.
He married Lovie J. Baxter on May 4, 1968. Together, they had three children.
Terry worked at Sharon Steel until it closed, then for Brookfield Schools and Sharon Speedway, Hartford.
He was a fan of Elvis, The Beatles, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and the Cleveland Browns.
Terry was the oldest of 70 grandchildren.
He also enjoyed race cars and hotrods, both of which he enjoyed building and showing at local car shows. His latest “baby” was a '37 Plymouth Coupe.
Terry is survived by: his wife; two daughters, Lovie (Robert) Zarlinski and Theresa (Neal) Swartz, all of Brookfield; three grandchildren, whom he loved very much: Ana Zarlinski and Nelson and Noelle Swartz; and his siblings: Nancy (Ray) Jones; Judy Noble; Artie Swogger Jr.; Bonnie (Gary) Hahn; Ron Swogger; Randy Swogger; Jack, William and Kathy Haines; and Frances Smith.
He was preceded in death by: his mother; his father and his stepmother, Kate; his son, Terry Swogger Jr., who died in 1985; and four siblings: Sonny Haines and infants Philip, Paulene and Paulette Swogger.

A gathering will be held in Terry's honor from 2 to 4 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015, in the Masury United Methodist Church, 1386 Broadway St., Masury, Ohio 44438. His funeral service will follow at 4 PM with Jeff Swogger, Terry's uncle, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
