Susan D. Shugarts

Susan D. Shugarts, of Masury, Ohio, peacefully entered eternal rest late Wednesday night, July 30, 2025, while a patient in Austintown Healthcare Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following a brief illness. She was 57.

Susan was born May 26, 1968, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter to Franklin “Frank” & Ann M. (Hill) Shugarts.

She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1986 and furthered her education at the Trumbull Business College.

Susan worked as a customer service representative for Dean Foods, Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. In addition, she had also worked in the business office at KraftMaid Cabinetry, Middlefield, Ohio.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, making jewelry, researching her ancestry, and traveling. However, she had a soft spot for her pets and loved them unconditionally.

Mourning her loss are her siblings, Daniel Shugarts, of Long Beach, California, Timothy (Kammie) McElravy, of Clearwater, Florida, Thomas (Lorraine) McElravy, of Spring Hill, Florida, Elaine Chinnis, of Beech Mountain, North Carolina, Cynthia (Rodney) Harakal, of Spring Hill, Florida, and Frank (Darlah) Shugarts, of Brookfield, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; as well as her lifelong friend, Melissa Mensurati, who was at her bedside until her passing.

Preceding her in death are her parents; many pets throughout the years and most recently her beloved Molly.

A memorial service to honor Susan will be announced at a future date.
