Ronald "Roonie" Stefanski

Ronald “Roonie” Stefanski, of Masury, Ohio, found peace on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, while at home, following an unexpected illness. He was 41.

Ron was born February 25, 1975 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to William Victor & Marge Christine (O’Grady) Stefanski.

He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1995 and had worked in lighting maintenance for the National Energy Service Company, Valdosta, Georgia. In prior years, Roonie found employment as a roofer with Matuszwski Roofing & Siding, Niles, Ohio.

In his spare time, he enjoyed pitching horseshoes, wetting a line at any fishing hole, shooting pool, and most especially, sitting with his family and friends around a bonfire. Moreover, spending time with his family meant the world to him.

Survivors include: his siblings, Billy Stefanski, Jacksonville, Florida, Bryan Stefanski, Erie, Pennsylvania, Michelle Shaffer & her husband Bill, Hubbard, Ohio, Roxanne Gibson & her wife Pepper Highland, Scott Depot, West Virginia, Brenda Hoffman & her husband Jim, Burghill, Ohio, Kimmy Stefanski, with whom he lived, and Jennifer King, Elwood, Indiana; his extended family with whom he was close, Maryhelen O'Grady, Nick Nacarato, Darla Green, & Steve King; his nieces & nephews, Nicholas, Jason, Caitlynn, Bryan, Brenton, Britney, Kami, Maggie & Alan, Jimmie Lee, Nicolette & Alex, Kassidy, Anthony, Tommy, Ashley, & Stevie; and his great-nieces & nephews too!

He was preceded in death by his parents; by his sister, Theresa Stefanski; by his niece, Brandy Hoffman, and by his fury nephew, Sherlock.

A time of gathering to honor Ron will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 4 to 7 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
