Richard "Rich" Scott, Jr.

Richard “Rich” C. Scott, Jr., of Mercer, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly Friday, February 10, 2017, while at home. He was 42.

Rich was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 4, 1974, a son to Richard C. and Linda L. (Crawford) Scott, Sr.

He worked as a fabricator & installer for Jac’s Kitchen & Counters, Farrell, Pennsylvania.

In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and camping. However, spending time with his family meant the most to him.

Survivors include: his parents, Richard & Linda, Youngstown; his wife, Lori J. (Miller) Scott, Sharon, Pennsylvania, whom he married July 12, 2005; his daughters, Paige Scott & Bobbi Scott, both of New Springfield, Ohio; his sister, Robin Wheaton, Hermitage, Pennsylvania; his brother, Weylin Scott, Youngstown; his stepchildren, Brandon Ballard, Nicole Ballard, & Kayla Ballard, all of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; his step-grandson, Jameson Voisey; his girlfriend, Alexa Carr & her children, Gianna & Elijah; as well as his many extended family members too.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Albanese; and his niece, Nicole Albanese.

A time of gathering to honor Rich will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017, from 4-7 PM at the Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A prayer service will conclude our evening. He will be laid to rest with family in the Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania.
