Mildred "Millie" Jean Bierworth

Mildred “Millie” Jean Bierworth, of Fowler, Ohio, passed from this life on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, while a patient at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following a brief illness. She was 88.

Mildred was born in Fairmont, West Virginia, on July 16, 1936, a daughter to Harley & Susie (Parsons) Hardway.

She graduated in 1955 from Vienna High School, Vienna, Ohio.

Millie may be remembered working at the Fowler Post Office, Howland Christian School, or Children’s Rehabilitation Center, throughout her career before she retired.

She was a former member of the Fowler Community Church, Fowler Historical Society, Cortland Literary Society, and the Junior Women’s League of Warren.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and hiking. She was a nature lover who loved traveling. In fact, she had been to 4 continents. However, spending time with her family is what warmed her heart the most.

Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, Roger Lynn Bierworth, whom she married on March 14, 1957; children, Pam Hoehn (Bruce), of Mount Gilead, Ohio and James Bierworth, of Magnolia, Ohio; grandson, Aiden Bierworth; and sister, Beatrice Conner, of Nashville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Waveline Greathouse & Harry Hardway.

A time of gathering to honor Millie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2-4 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio. A prayer service will conclude the evening. She will be laid to rest in Dugan Cemetery.
