Michael Anthony Martin, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, August 25th, 2025. Michael was 70 years old.
Michael was born December 31st, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio; a son to Aloys G. and Helen Claire (Gleydura) Martin.
He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1972.
Michael worked at Packard Electric as a Tool & Die Maker for 36 years.
Michael was a devoted husband and a fun father. He was a great provider and could always be counted on to answer the phone when you needed him. He was a jack of all trades and an invaluable teacher to all around him.
He enjoyed many different hobbies, including stained glass, working on various projects for family and friends, listening to music, and learning how to play instruments. Michael appreciated family get togethers, delighted in going on a Sunday drive with his wife, and he also loved attending the Monday night Motorcycle meetings.
Michael was a competitive pistol and revolver shooter and a trustee of the Warren Gun Club. He was also a member of the Hubbard Ukulele group.
He is survived by his wife, Rene` D. (Scarvel) Martin, whom he married July 10th, 1982; children, Kevin Martin (Leah), of Girard, Ohio, and Rachel (Ian Colundjia), of Hartford, Ohio; grandchildren, Ella & Lux Johnson; brothers, Karl Martin (Vicki), of Burghill, Ohio, John Martin (Julie), of Masury, Ohio, and Paul Martin, of Jamestown, Pennsylvania; mother-in-law, Rose Scarvel; sister-in-law, Debbie Shaffer (Don); brother-in-law, Bill Scarvel; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great ones too.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters- Marilyn and Illona, great niece Gabrielle, and father-in-law, Bill Scarvel.
A time of gathering to honor Michael will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, September 5th, 2025, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403, and Saturday, September 6th, 2025, from 11-12 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM.
Michael had an unbreakable bond with all of his siblings and was a wonderful support to them throughout his lifetime.
