Marilyn June Manners

Marilyn June Manners, age 84, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 29, 1938, at home in Brookfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Mildred (DeCota) Powell.

Marilyn started her travel career at Eastern Airlines in Minneapolis and retired from being a travel Assistant for Gad-About Tours.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Columbiana. She loved to watch sports with her husband. Her favorite teams were the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Vikings. She loved to spend time with family, go boating, doing crossword puzzles, and eating ice cream. Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Ray Manners, of Columbiana, whom she married on October 25, 1958; three daughters, Pamela J. Day, Wendy S. Parry (Steve), Linda K. Mulhall (Robert); one son, Dale R. Manners (Melissa); two grandsons, Nicholas J. Parry (Stefanie) and Joshuah R. Weikart (Courtney); as well as three great-grandchildren, Madison G. Parry, Colson M. Parry, and Christian M. Weikart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Burns & Elaine Carole Davis.

A time of gathering in honor of Marilyn will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2023, from 12-1 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 PM. She will be laid to rest in the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
