Marguerite "Margie" Jones

Marguerite “Margie” V. Jones, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, while at home following a brief illness. She was 90.

Marguerite was born February 22, 1928, at home in Masury, Ohio, a daughter to Louis & Louise (Furillo) Talone. A short time later, the family Americanized by changing their last name to Daly.

She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1946, and married the love of her life, Robert E. Jones, Sr., on August 7, 1948. Together they raised three sons: James, Robert, and Douglas.

Margie worked at the former Valley View Department Store, Valley View Antiques, and Julia’s Bed & Breakfast with a passion beyond measure.

She was a member of the former St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Masury, Ohio.

In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by: her sons, James W. Jones & his wife Carol, Kissimmee, Florida, Robert "Bobby" E. Jones, Jr., & his wife Cheryl, and Doug A. Jones, all of Brookfield; her granddaughters, Erica Marsh and Afton Roberts; her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brinkley, Brookelyn, Gianna, & Braxton; and her nieces & nephews and great ones too.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on April 30, 1995; and by her siblings, Frank & Art Daly, and Josephine Baker.

A time of gathering to honor Mrs. Jones will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4-6 PM in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
