Maelinda June Severson

Maelinda June Severson, 63, of Burghill, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Maelinda was born July 26, 1962, in Bedford, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Lahoma (Riley) Bulick.

She graduated from Joseph Badger High School in 1980.

On December 21, 1984, she married Gary Severson, and together they built a life centered around family, raising three children: Adam, Sarah, and MacKenzie.

Maelinda had a gift for bringing people together through food. Cooking was her love language, no one left her table hungry. She was especially known for her cheesy potatoes, cabbage rolls, peppers in oil, and pumpkin rolls. She also enjoyed bargain shopping, her floral garden, and spoiling her granddogs.

Above all, Maelinda was a devoted mother who put her family first and made sure her children always felt loved, supported, and cared for. She found some of her greatest joy in being a grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Maelinda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gary Severson of Burghill; her son, Adam (Tiffany) Severson of Howland; her daughters, Sarah (Vince) Anerino of Brookfield, and MacKenzie (Kaleb Pickens) Severson of Niles; her cherished grandchildren, Blaise and Mariah Anerino, and Winnie Pickens; her father, Charles Bulick of Sharpsville; her brother, Charlie Bulick of Sandy Lake; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lahoma.

Maelinda was laid to rest at Brookfield Township Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
