Louis Yuliano

May 5, 1926 — October 24, 2018

Louis J. Yuliano, formerly of Brookfield, Ohio, was received by the loving embrace of his beloved Catherine as he passed away at 4:00 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2018. He succumbed to Alzheimer’s while residing at Paramount Senior Living in Seven Fields, Pennsylvania. He was 92.

Mr. Yuliano was born May 5, 1926, in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, a son to Stefano and Mary (Rouse) Yuliano.

Self was forgotten the day that Louis left his home to defend our flag and to help keep our country free when he enlisted with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was assigned to Company A, 51st Signal Operation Battalion and had received the following decorations and citations: Expert M-1 Rifle, Army Occupation Medal (Italy), American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged from his duties after achieving the rank of Technician Fifth Grade.

Upon his return home, he found employment working at Sharon Steel as a brick layer foreman in the combustion maintenance division.

He married the former Catherine Marie Bodnovich on November 29, 1950. Their three children include Victor, Mark, and Nancy.

Louis had attended St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and in his spare time he enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and helping his neighbors.

His survivors include: his children, Nancy Barnes (Adam), Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Victor and Mark Yuliano, both of Brookfield; and his granddaughter, Addison Barnes.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Catherine, who passed on September 21, 2017; and his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, John, & Steven Yuliano, Nancy O’Neil, Ruffiela Palmer, Margaret Kavulic, Rose Marie Eichelberger, & Patricia Woods.
