Larry H. Kremis, of Masury, Ohio, peacefully passed from this life with his loved ones by his side on Friday, February 6, 2026, while a patient at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio, following a period of declining health. He was 78.
Larry was born August 7, 1947, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, a son of Howard L. and Doris I. (Sowash) Kremis.
He graduated from Reynolds High School in 1965, and shortly thereafter, enlisted with the U.S. Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and honorably discharged with the rank of specialist, SP4.
During his working career, Larry held many vocations including owning a travel agency, Brookside Travel, Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, and driving truck for Venezia Trucking. He wore many hats throughout his lifetime.
He was a member of Rotary International, Brookfield Club, where he served as a past-president.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling the U.S., playing a good round of golf, cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and going to Las Vegas. In addition, he loved socializing, playing cards, and staying connected on Facebook. He had a great sense of humor along with his contagious laugh. He will truly be missed.
Survivors include: his bride, Carol L. (Schultz) Kremis; children, Tracey Pusateri (Doug), of Hubbard, Ohio, Kim Szabo (Ernie), of Austintown, Ohio, and Karl "Chip" Setterberg, of Masury; grandchildren, Caleb Gelesky, Nikki Szabo, & Justin Szabo; great-granddaughter, Lily Gelesky; siblings, Linda Kremis, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, and Todd Kremis (Barb), of Jackson Center, Pennsylvania; as well as his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Elverda; and son-in-law, Pat Gelesky.
A memorial service to honor Larry will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
