Kurt Jon Herzberger

Kurt Jon Herzberger, of Masury, Ohio, entered eternal rest during the early morning hours on Friday, October 9, 2026, while at home and in the presence of his loving family following an extended illness. He was 75.

Kurt was born August 19, 1951, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son to Vergil A. and Anita T. (Williams) Herzberger.

He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1969 and furthered his education at Youngstown State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in education.

His working career began at Sharon Steel and he would then retire as an inspector from Warren Screw Machine.

In his spare time, he enjoyed writing poetry. He actually had a poetry book published “The Afternoon Antiques”. Moreover, he liked reading, writing, gardening, and fishing.

He loved the outdoors and treasure hunting. However, spending time with family and attending family gatherings meant the world to him.

His survivors include: wife, Andrea S. (Reinhart) Herzberger; son, Brent Herzberger (Kathy), of Hubbard; daughters, Rachel Evans (Travis Snyder), of Hubbard, and Erica Rowe (Zak Yurchisin), of Bell Vernon, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Brent Jr. (Megan), Hunter (Cori), Natalie (Darin), Cody, Cailee (Noah), Madison, Olivia, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Connor, Edith, Kinsley, and two on the way; brother, Terry Herzberger (Stephanie), of St. Simons, Georgia; and sister, Tina Horne (Jeff), of Hartville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Alec Horne.

In accordance with his wishes, a private service was held for his family at Cornerhouse Christian Church, Hubbard, Ohio.
