Kathleen Denzer

April 2, 1954 — September 22, 2015

Kathleen Ann Denzer, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at home while under Hospice Care. She was 61.

Kathleen was born April 2, 1954, in Mansfield, Ohio, a daughter to Sylvester & Rita (Denig) Blubaugh.

After graduating from Malabar High School in 1972, she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to help protect our flag and to keep our country free. She served proudly during Desert Storm and her military career lasted 19 years. She was meticulous in all aspects of her life. While in the service, she furthered her education by attending North Central State College of Mansfield in the evenings. She began serving through the Air Force National Guard with the 179th Airlift Wing, Mansfield. She later transferred to the Air Force Reserves with the 910th Airlift Wing, Vienna, Ohio.

During her civilian life, Kathleen worked at the O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, Ohio, in the Human Resource Department.

In her spare time, she enjoyed white water rafting, and hanging out with her friends at the Marigold.

She is survived by: her son, Michael A. Schiska & his wife Kortney, Brookfield, Ohio; her siblings, Lori Kolenich & her husband Jeff, Bay Village, Ohio, and David Blubaugh & his wife Susan, Sumner, Washington; her grandchildren, Gabrielle & Devin Schiska; her niece, Arianna Blubaugh; and her extended family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brother, Steven Blubaugh.

A Graveside Service to honor Kathleen’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
