Joshua Pushcar

July 12, 1995 — September 17, 2015

Joshua Michael Pushcar, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away in the emergency room of Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, September 17, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident. He was only 20.

Josh was born July 12, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, a son to John Michael & Lynn (Kovach) Pushcar.

He graduated from Thomas Worthington High School, Worthington, Ohio in 2013 where he studied Culinary Arts. This education fueled his passion for cooking. One of his greatest accomplishments was cooking at Jack Nicholas Golf Course for the PGA. He continued his career working most recently for Wholly Joe’s Chicago Eatery, Polaris, Ohio, where he was the pizza chef.

He was a member of the Discover Christian Church, Dublin. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing at Uncle Andy's pond, deer hunting with Grandpa “Green Beans”, and monkeying around with his family.

He is survived by: his beautiful son, Elijah Michael Pushcar, whom he fathered with Carina Passino, both of Dublin; his father, John M. Pushcar & his fiancée Cassie Marie Crawford, Masury, Ohio; his mother, Lynn Dulay-Page & her husband Harry, Dublin; his paternal grandmother, Patty (Palfi) Pushcar, Masury; paternal grandparents, Geoff & Darlene (Tareshawty) Roquet, Mesquite, NV; his paternal great-grandfather, Eugene F. Tareshawty, Sr., Poland, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Suhar, Dublin; maternal grandparents, Richard & Phyllis Kovach, North Jackson, Ohio; his brothers, Jacob M. & Jeremiah M. Pushcar, both of Dublin; his half-siblings, Alissa, Felix, Harmony, & Kaiden; his step-siblings, Taylor, Sariah, Nasir, Julia, & Lucah; and his extended family too.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gary "Kinky" "Cheewy" Pushcar; by his paternal great-grandmother, Elvina "Skinny" Tareshawty; and by his paternal great-grandparents, Steve & Anna Pushcar.

A graveside service to honor Joshua will be held at noon Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.

As suggested by his family, material contributions can be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
