John Mosora

August 2, 1957 — July 18, 2018

John A. Mosora, of Masury, Ohio, entered eternal rest at 3:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2018, while at home and surrounded by his family, following a brave battle with cancer. He was 60.

John was born on August 2, 1957, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, one of eight children to Paul & Shirley (Plusquelec) Mosora.

He was a 1976 graduate of Brookfield High School and furthered his education by attending the New Castle School of Trades, where he was studying to be an Electrician.

Self was forgotten the day that he left his home to defend our flag and protect our country’s freedom when he enlisted into the U.S. Army. He achieved the following decorations: the Army Commendation Medal and an Expert Marksman with the M-16. His last assignment was with Company F, 705th Maintenance Battalion, of the 5th Infantry Division and he was honorably discharged from his duties at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Following his return home, he had worked as an Electrical Assembler for Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic Corp., Warren, Ohio.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting & fishing. In addition, he loved sports. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan to boot. However, he may be best remembered for coaching Brookfield Youth Football, Squiggs through Junior High level.

He was a loving husband and father, as well as a friend to all.

Survivors include: his wife, Denise (Cinicola) Mosora, whom he married February 11, 1984; his mother, Shirley Mosora, Brookfield, Ohio; his children, Nicole Marie Ledbetter, Brandon A. Mosora, and Ryan A. Mosora, all of Masury; his siblings, Paul J. Mosora (Debbie), Brookfield, Tim Mosora (LeeAnn), Brookfield, Jeff Mosora (Kim), Hartford, Ohio, Bryan Mosora, Grove City, Pennsylvania, Karen Woodcock, Masury, and Kim Driscoll (Jim), Masury; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and by his brother, Steve Mosora.
