Jerome Paul Baymon, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, He was 66.
Jerome was born October 2, 1959, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to John A. Baymon & Sarah (Turnage) Quarles-Anderson.
He was a 1977 graduate of Farrell High School and shortly thereafter, he and his twin (Jeffrey) both enlisted with the U.S. Army right after graduation with the Delayed Entry Program on the buddy system. He was stationed at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. While serving, he held the rank of Specialist E-4 with the 548 Engineering Battalion, Construction and a Motor Transport Operator and he received the Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Marksman Badge M-16 Rifle Bar, and Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged from his duties on April 8, 1983.
Upon returning home, he did his USAR duty with the 858 QM company in Farrell, Pennsylvania, with his twin. He also worked as a caregiver. His heart for helping people was always evident. In addition, he obtained an associate degree from Shenango Valley Business College and attended the Community college of Allegheny County.
He was a lifelong member of the Greater Morris Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. He also was a brother of the Twin City Elks lodge 187, both of Farrell.
In his spare time, Jerome was an avid Jazz Music lover and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His go to greeting was “What’s up Black” with a fist bump! and was known by his nickname “Snake” by friends and family. He consistently looked dapper as his attire was always on point. He was truly a man of God and proudly so.
Jerome is survived by his siblings, twin, Jeffrey Baymon (Kim), of Farrell, Reginald Easterling, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Shirley Wynn (Winfred), of Reseda, California; God-brothers, Bryan Robinson, Jeffrey, Tyrone & Carl Lampkins (Kim); God-son, Zyaire; special mom, Annie Hueston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ellen Houston; brother, Robert Earl Anderson; grandmother, Sarah Turnage; and Godmother, Barbara Lampkins.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jerome’s life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the Greater Morris Chapel, A.M.E. Church. 926 Darr Avenue, Farrell Pennsylvania. Family & friends may gather to pay their respects from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, also in the church. Military honors will be rendered by the Wheatland VFW and West Middlesex American Legion.
