Jeremy "Jer" Jewell

Jeremy “Jer” L. Jewell, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, passed away during the morning hours of Friday, September 7, 2018, in the Emergency Room of Sharon Reginal Hospital, following an apparent heart attack. He was 34.

Jeremy was born on March 24, 1984, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to Dale L. & Janice M. (Schell) Jewell.

A 2002 graduate of Sharon High School, he furthered his education at Thiel College, where in 2006, he received his bachelor of arts in Psychology.

He worked as a case worker for First Step Recovery Detox and Treatment Center, Warren, Ohio.

He was a huge Florida State University Seminoles fan and team booster. In addition, he loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was an avid sports fan. However, Jeremy loved bowling with his dad and spending time with his family most of all.

Survivors include: his parents, Dale & Janice, Sharon; his daughter whom he adored, Hannah R. Jewell, Temple, Pennsylvania; his step-son, Ethan C. Medley, Girard, Ohio; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances W. & Dorothy E. Jewell, and Kenneth & Alice Schell, Sr.; by his step-grandmother, Ruth Jewell; and by his uncles, Roger Schell, Paul & Gordon Jewell.

A time of gathering to honor Jeremy’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 11-1 PM at the First Baptist Church of Sharon, 301 W. State Street, Sharon, Pennsylvania 16146. His celebration continues with a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

As suggested by his family, please refrain from sending flowers due to allergies, thank you! In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home c/o his family.
