Jeffrey W. Waldron, 77, of Trenton, Florida and Hubbard, Ohio, passed from this life on Monday, June 16, 2025, while a patient at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following a sudden illness.
Jeffrey was born on December 8, 1947, in Ashtabula, Ohio, a son to Carl and Katherine (Roach) Waldron.
Self was forgotten when he enlisted with the U.S. Navy to help defend our flag and to keep our country free during the Vietnam Conflict. He was assigned to the U.S.S. Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier, an antisubmarine carrier CVS-14. His decorations and citations include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon. He was honorably discharged from his duties with the rank of Boilerman Petty Officer 3rd Class.
He fell in love with a gal by the name of Carol E. Phillips. They spent a lifetime together and eventually married on March 8, 2018.
Jeff was a tow motor operator for General Motors at the Lordstown Ohio Plant, where he retired after dedicating over 30 years to the company.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3767 Hubbard, Ohio; Amvets Post #88 Bronson, Florida; F.O.E. #4035 Andover, Ohio; and American Legion Post #4192 Mineral Ridge, Ohio.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, woodworking, being a handyman, cookouts, and traveling. In addition, he absolutely loved karaoke. However, going to his camp is what gave him the most peace.
Survivors include: his bride, Carol; son, Jeremy Waldron (Audrey), of Andover; daughters, Melissa Tennant, of Frederick, Maryland, and Amanda Pratscher (John), of Aurora, Illinois; step-son, Todd Burrows, of Bristolville, Ohio; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Diane Orahood (Rick), of Andover, and Julie Dillon (Butch), of Warren, Ohio; as well as many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, James Waldron and Roxie Hudson.
In accordance to his wishes, no public calling hours or services will be held.
