Jeffery Cromartie, 66, beloved son, brother, nephew, and cousin, was called to his eternal resting place on October 23, 2024. He entered this world on August 10, 1958, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, born to Mary Cromartie and Earl Dungee.
Jeffery was one of a kind. He was known throughout the community. One of the reasons he was so well known, was because he walked throughout Farrell talking to everyone. He had the memory of an elephant and was brutally funny at times. Don't make him mad, because he will never let you or anyone else forget it. Reciting stories in a way only he could. Nothing could stop him from speaking his mind.
If he had a goal he was relentless with trying to achieve it and advocating for himself. He knew the phone numbers to everyone he needed and would call multiple times to make sure his needs were heard.
He was all about cleanliness and loved to cook, but eat even more. He knew what he wanted to eat and how he wanted you to cook it. He made sure that was known before you cooked it for him. If he didn't like it, he had no problem telling you.
He was a member of the Valley Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir.
He is survived by his sister, Misty Cromartie; cousins, Shelley Cromartie, James Cromartie, Kevin Cromartie, Jason Cromartie, Kimberly Bacon, Felicia Bacon, Pamela Bacon, Troy Bacon, Marcia Lewis and Rochelle Brown; nephews, Grayson Jackson, Chaz Cromartie, and Kevin Robinson; niece, Jasmine Boozer; as well as a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Cromartie; father Earl Dungee; brothers Shawn Cromartie and Trenton Cromartie; aunt Patricia Cromartie; uncles T.F. Maxton Cromartie and James Cromartie Sr. (Willie Belle Cromartie).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 11:00 AM, at Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Rd., Farrell, Pennsylvania 16121, where family and friends can pay their respects from 10-11 AM.
