Together Again

Jean M. Pipic, of Brookfield, Ohio, found eternal peace at 6:42 PM on Friday, August 14, 2015, while a patient in the St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, following a brief illness. She was 82.

Jean was born May 29, 1933, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to George J. & Claressa (Hillkirk) Burns.

On June 11, 1953, she married George Pipic and together they spent the next 34 years holding hands until his passing on July 3, 1987.

She was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Vienna, Ohio. Previously she had belonged the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she was a past president of the Altar & Rosary Society.

Jean retired from the Brookfield Board of Education in 1988 after a 35 year career as a Teacher’s Aide.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy M. Pipic, Brookfield, Thomas Pipic & his wife Julie, Brookfield, and Judy Ann Martin & her husband John, Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania; her brother, Jim Burns & his wife Mary, Masury, Ohio; her grandchildren, Tara Jo McQueen, Richard Martin, Christy Armitage, & Barbara Adwalpalker; her five great-grandchildren; and her fury companions, Ginger, Dakota, Bob, and Bentley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, George R. Burns.

A time of gathering in honor of Jean will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 4 to 8 PM, at Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. Her celebration continues with a Requiem Mass on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 11 AM in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
