Janet E. Wedge

Janet E. Wedge, of Masury, Ohio, was received in the loving arms of her husband Art on Friday, May 16, 2025, while a patient at UPMC – Jameson Hospital, New Castle, Pennsylvania, following a period of declining health. She was 76.

Janet was born December 2, 1948, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Gordon V. & Genevieve “Dot” E. (Zook) Reagle.

She was a 1966 graduate from Brookfield High School and furthered her education at Youngstown State University in 1972 by obtaining a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Janet retired from the Keystone Blind Association following a 22-year career as a photo identification supervisor.

She was a member of the Brookfield Christian Church; and a 50+ year member of the Auxiliary of the Brookfield Township Volunteer Fire Department.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, traveling, and spending time at the cabin in Tidioute, Pennsylvania.

Survivors include: her boys, Tony Johnson, John Hull, Shawn Hull, & Eric Lobodzinski; sisters-in-law, Alice Wedge, of Hartford, Ohio, and Esther Merat, Hermitage, Pennsylvania; God-daughter, Nicole Anderson (Mike); and a host of nieces, nephews, great ones, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Arthur “Art” F. Wedge, whom she married September 24, 1983, he recently passed on April 13, 2025.

A time of gathering to honor Janet’s life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 4-7 PM, at Briceland Funeral Service, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. Her celebration continues with a service on Monday, May 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, also in the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Art in the Brookfield Township Cemetery.

As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to the Auxiliary of the Brookfield Township Volunteer Fire Department (or) the Brookfield Christian Church c/o the funeral home.
