TOGETHER AGAIN
Janet Grace Everett, of Vienna, Ohio, peacefully passed away late Tuesday night, June 17, 2025, while at home. She was 98.
Mrs. Everett was born February 15, 1927, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Elliott & Effie Mae (Thomas) Scott.
Janet fell in love with a handsome gentleman by the name of Howard F. Everett. They married on June 25, 1944, right before he left for the service during WWII. Together they started a family and born to this union were children: Howard Jr., Sharon, Leonard, and Ronald.
She worked forever alongside her husband at H.F. Everett Gas & Oil Company. In addition, she also had worked as a bus driver for Vienna Schools, cashier at the former Williams IGA, and dishwasher at Hall’s, to name a few. She wore many hats during her lifetime.
Her memberships include: Vienna Presbyterian Church, where she always helped with the dinners and various functions; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vienna Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Her favorite place to be was in her sewing room creating quilts or having needle and thread in hand, doing cross stitch or crochet. She loved a good book and liked adventuring to the casino once in a while. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who made everything feel like home. Her stories, cherished quilts, and crocheted afghans, wrapped us in her quiet strength and grounded generations. Her legacy will live on in the love she so generously shared.
Her loving family includes: son, Ron W. (Roseann) Everett, of Vienna; grandchildren, Cathy (Kevin) Turner, Rick Williams, Bethany (Frankie) DelGarbino, Tricia (Shane) Pratt, Rhonda (Chris) Villwock, Brenda (Ryan) Brubaker, Monica (Kent) Culp, and Justin (Danielle) Everett; (20) great-grandchildren, Kori, Drew, Danielle, Hunter, Jacob, Emily, Logan, Luke, Ebin, Cobie, Carlie, Anna, Isabella, Mia, Ava, Gracie, Baylee, Chloe, Caden, & Dane; (8) great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dianne Everett; and son-in-law, Tom Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, who passed October 7, 2001; daughter, Sharon Williams; and sons, Leonard & Howard "Bud" Everett, Jr.
Private family services are being held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to the Vienna Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home.
