James M. “Bo” Whittaker, of Girard, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2014, while in the presence of his family as a patient at Hospice House, Poland. He was 35.
Bo was born November 14, 1978, in Warren, Ohio, a son to Jimmie R. Whittaker & Darlene M. (Lamp) Whittaker-Pohland.
He worked as a laborer in many different capacities. A free spirit, Bo had no fear of adventure. He did what he wanted and when he wanted, nothing held him back.
His survivors include: his mother, Darlene, Farmdale, OH; his wife, Sara (McMillion) Whittaker, whom he married May 25, 2013; his sons, Austin Whittaker, Reynoldsville, PA, Dominic Bogges, W. Farmington, OH, Gerald Wortman, Howland, OH, and Nathaniel Hawkins, Cortland, OH; his daughters, Elizabeth DePaul & her husband Anthony, Niles, OH, Cherish Whittaker, Howland, OH, and Geonna Wortman, Howland, OH; his step-sons, Reed, Seth, & Josh McMillion; his step-daughters, Aleecia Wortman, & Kayla McMillion; his sisters, Tracey Czako & her husband Steve, Farmdale, OH, Teri Burns & her husband Rick, Leavittsburg, OH, Susan Kalman & her husband Frank, Roaming Shores, OH, Tina Johnson & her husband Randy, Mechanicsburg, OH, Renee Copley & her husband Troy, Mechanicsburg, OH, Michelle Donaldson, Athens, OH, and Shari Tisdale, Sumter, S. Carolina; and his grandson, Wyatt Whittaker, and one on the way, Axel DePaul .
He was preceded in death by his father; by his grandmother, Elsie Lamp; by his grandfather, James "Ob" Whittaker; and by his uncle, Daniel Lamp.
A time of gathering to honor Bo’s life will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 1-4 PM at Gustavus Federated Church, 8850 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd., Farmdale, Ohio 44417. His memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 4 PM.
