James A. Rea

James A. Rea, 70, of Masury, Ohio, passed from this life at home on Saturday, August 1, 2026, following a period of declining health.

James was born on April 1, 1956, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to James F. and Marguerite D. (Fields) Rea.

He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1974 and furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati.

He may be remembered as a manager for Cortland Banks at the Williamsfield branch.

In his spare time, he founded the Brookfield Youth Wrestling Program. In addition, Jim enjoyed his scratch-off tickets, fishing, and playing golf. He absolutely loved the Cleveland Browns & Indians.

Mourning his loss are his children, Beth A. Hester (Eric), of Warren, Ohio, Matt Rea, of Hubbard, Ohio, and Megan Emph (Michael), of Transfer, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Alex Rea & Kayla Wilson; great-granddaughter, Adelaide Wilson; and sister, Sharon Miller (Winston), of Brookfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
