James V. Altiere, Jr.

James V. Altiere, Jr., 86, of Warren, Ohio, passed from this life during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 10, 2025, following a period of declining health.

James was born on February 16, 1939, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to James V. Altiere, Sr. and Betty L. (Egolf) Altiere.

He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1958, and furthered his education on the G.I. Bill by receiving a bachelor degree in Police Administration from Youngstown State University in 1975.

A proud veteran of the U. S. Navy, Jim worked as a purchasing manager for the Tartan Company and later as a part-time security guard for RMI before officially retiring.

He was of the Catholic faith and in his spare time, he enjoyed reading.

Survivors include: his brothers, William Altiere (Patricia), of Hubbard, Ohio, and Thomas Altiere (Darlene), of Warren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy (Whinning) Altiere, who passed on March 17, 2007; and brother, John Altiere.

In accordance to his wishes, private services were held.
