Gwendolyn "Lynn" M. Price

Gwendolyn “Lynn” M. Price, 68, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, after a long and courageous battle, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt, among many other titles.

She was born on August 19, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Syliva Halliburton. Some people leave an impression wherever they go, and she was one of those people. She had a way of making every room brighter with her laughter, her energy, and her genuine love for being with the people she cared about. If there was music playing, chances are she was dancing—and if it was Motown, she was also singing every word. She didn't need a special occasion to celebrate life. She found joy in the everyday and had a way of inviting everyone around her to share it.

Lynn graduated from Oak Park High School in 1975. She went on to work for the Brookfield School District and spent many years at Yankee Run Golf Course, where she became known to many as simply "Bubbles." The nickname couldn't have suited her better. With her infectious laugh, vibrant personality, and gift for making people smile, she brought joy wherever she went. She left a lasting impression on everyone, and the countless lives she touched are a testament to the unmistakable spirit with which she lived.

Lynn was blessed to know the kind of love that changes a person forever when she married the love of her life, Eric (Butch) Price on November 16, 1984. Her husband was her greatest partner, and her truest friend. Losing him far too soon was one of life's deepest heartbreaks, yet the love they shared and the family they created remained a constant source of strength throughout the years that followed. It was a love defined not only by the years they had together, but by the lifetime of devotion that continued after he was gone. Their story reminds us that the deepest loves are never measured by how long we have them, but by how profoundly they shape who we become.

She also lived with refreshing honesty. You never had to wonder what she was thinking or how she felt. If she loved you, you knew it. If she was proud of you, she told you. And if she thought you needed to hear a hard truth, she wasn't afraid to say that either. She believed that love meant showing up, speaking the truth, and never leaving the important things unsaid.

Life tested her in ways that would have shaken anyone, but she met those challenges with incredible strength. She didn't let hardship take away her joy or dim the light that made her who she was. She kept finding reasons to laugh, to sing, to dance, and to hold on to hope. She showed all of us what courage looks like—not because she never struggled, but because she kept moving forward with grace, determination, and an unwavering love for the people around her.

When she became ill, she faced every challenge with extraordinary courage and determination. She fought with everything she had—not because she was afraid, but because she loved her life and the people in it so deeply. She wanted more time with her family, more hugs from her grandchildren, more holidays, more ordinary days together. Even through years of adversity, she never stopped hoping, never stopped loving, and never stopped fighting.

But, more than anything, she loved her family and the animals who shared her life. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by the people she loved, especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and every moment she spent with them was a gift she treasured. If love alone could have kept her here, she would have stayed forever.

Her pets also brought her endless joy and companionship, and she cared for them with the same tenderness and devotion she showed to everyone she loved. To Lynn, animals were family, and they were lucky to be loved by her.

She leaves behind so much more than memories. She leaves behind a way of living: dance when the music starts, sing along—especially if it's Motown—love your people with your whole heart, say the words that matter while you have the chance, and face life's hardest moments with courage. Though we wish we had more time, we find comfort in knowing that the love she poured into her family will continue to echo through generations. She was, and always will be, the heart of our family.

Lynn leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love and the countless memories she created with them: her children, Jeffrey (Christen) Price, Michelle (Michael) Young, and Melanie (Sean) Jordan; grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Madison and Gavin Young, Melina and Jude Medure, Aydan (Kylie) Jordan, Kellen Jordan, Gabi Jordan, and Tatyonna (Nick) Oproer; sister-in-law, Gisele Halliburton; nephews, Josh (Leslie) Halliburton, Mark (Dominique) Halliburton, David (Jenny) Halliburton, and Amir Dickerson; her beloved dogs, Murphy, Molly; and cat, Oreo.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Sylvia Halliburton; husband, Eric (Butch) Price; brothers, Sam and Keith Halliburton; and daughter-in-law, Angela Price.

Services will be handled by Briceland Funeral Home in Brookfield. There will be an opportunity for visiting hours on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 4-7 PM, and again on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11-12 PM. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on Thursday. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery.
