George A. Sirko

George A. Sirko, of Vienna, Ohio, passed from this life on Friday, February 23, 2024, while a patient in the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following a very brief illness. He was 88.

George was born on May 10, 1935, in Warren, Ohio, a son to Alex & Anna (Malega) Sirko.

He worked for over 30 years as a machinist at Packard Electric before retiring. He even won a small monetary award from the company for inventing a new wiring technique.

In his spare time, George enjoyed going to his camp in Marienville, Pennsylvania, hunting, and riding his gator around the property. However, spending time with his grandchildren is what he cherished in his later years. George will be remembered as a person who definitely spoke his mind on all subjects.

He is survived by: his daughters, Georgia Fabick & her husband John, of Hartford, Ohio, and Darlene Parobek, of Warren, Ohio; grandchildren, Marco (Christina) Cristea, Jonathan Sirko, and Jessica Parobek; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Julia (Opalensky) Sirko, whom he married in 1956, she died May 21, 1992, and Meredith K. "Kitty" Sirko, whom he married May 27, 1995, she died December 14, 2016; son, George Alexander Sirko, Jr.; son-in-law, John Parobek; brothers, Sam & John Sirko; and 2 infant sisters.

In accordance with his wishes, no public services were held. He was laid to rest in Brookfield Township Cemetery next to his wife, Julia.
