Florence "Flo" S. Werner

Florence “Flo” S. Werner, of Brookfield, Ohio, was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Richard, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, while a patient at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following a period of declining health. She was 94.

Florence was born in Warren, Ohio, on April 1, 1931, a daughter to Vasile & Rose (Chasser) Fabian.

She graduated in 1949 from Warren G. Harding High School.

She proudly continued the family produce business, Delightful Gardens, located in Braceville Township. In addition, she was also a clerk for the local Lawson’s Convenience Store.

Flo married the love of her life, Richard M. Werner, Sr., on February 5, 1949. They held hands for the next 70 years until his passing on August 24, 2019.

In her spare time, she enjoyed feeding the birds, going to flea markets, and garage sales.

Survivors include: children, Elizabeth "Betty" Rasp, of Newton Falls, Ohio, Richard "Rick" M. Werner, Jr., of Brookfield, Jacqueline Barber (Ronald), of Kinsman, Ohio, and Rev. Christopher H. Werner (Crystal), of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Edward Rasp, Jr., Brian Rasp, Angel Werner, Amanda Mosley, Christan Catron, David Werner, & Charity Claus; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sr.; grandson, Christopher Werner; great-grandson, Nathaniel Mosley; great-great-granddaughter, Cameron Brewer; 8 siblings; and son-in-law, Edward Rasp. Sr.

A time of gathering to honor Mrs. Werner will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 5-7 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 PM.
