Faye L. Pleso, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, passed from this life on Monday, July 6, 2026, while a patient at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, following a very brief illness. She was 85.

Faye was born at home in Hickory Township, Pennsylvania, on March 13, 1941, a daughter to Garner R. Lloyd, Sr., & Luella H. (Shaffer) Lloyd.

She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1959 and furthered her education by attending classes at Kent State University, Trumbull Campus.

Faye worked as a house parent for Trumbull County Children Services, where she would teach young parents the proper skills needed for raising a family.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brookfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, Order of Odd Fellows Ladies Auxiliary, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War - Tent #23, and Patagonia Fire Auxiliary.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, playing cards, dominos, and board games with her family and friends...especially Catch Phrase. And, in her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling, camping, square dancing, and bowling.

Survivors include: her husband, Donald W. Pleso, whom she married in 1963; children, Dr. Faye Janine Pleso (Bobby Diehl) of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Tim (Tami) Pleso of Bristolville, Ohio, and Theresa (Jim) Hurst of Champion, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan Rosko, Erik Rosko, Matthew (Samantha) Pleso, Andrew (Abigail) Pleso, Anna Pleso (Ashley Gruszecki), Terrence Hurst (Tonya Johns), and Christopher Hurst; as well as great-grandchildren, Alina Pleso and Philip Pleso.

A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Dolly Wilson, Myrna McClimans, Georgia Syslo, and Garner "Beaner" Lloyd Jr.

As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to the Ladies Fire Auxiliary of Brookfield c/o the funeral home.
