Fannie Mae Currie-Scott, of Masury, Ohio, transitioned from this life on April 6, 2026, following a period of declining health. She was 87.

Fannie was born on February 23, 1939, in Marietta, North Carolina, a daughter to Buster Currie, Sr. and Flossie Mae (Mason) Currie.

She worked as a machinist for Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, and retired after a 30-year career.

Mother Scott was a member of the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ; OES Eastern Star Golden Rule #6; Needles Eye - Counselor over 50 years; and UAW Local #717.

In her spare time, she enjoyed being a caregiver. In addition, she loved cooking and might be remembered as a youth cook at the church. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: her siblings, Shirley Dixon (Rev. James C.), of Masury, Mary Lou Washington, Buster Currie, Jr. (Fran), both of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Walter Currie, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, & Brenda Jones, of Masury; grandchildren, Miles, Timothy, Emmanuel, Jason, Joseph, Nathaniel, Isiah, & Rebecca; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Peggy Ann McMilan & Nancy Rosario; granddaughter, Nanette Rosario; siblings, Rosevelt Currie, Maxine Currie, Anna Currie-Snow, LeRoy Currie, & Early Currie; nieces, Shanta Bell-Thomas, Linda Scott, Melody Clark, & Cierra Clark; and nephews, James "Jimmy" C. Dixon, Ronnie Cromartie, Phillip Currie, & Terry Nixon.

A Home Going Service to celebrate Fannie’s life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM, in the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, 1825 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, where family & friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 PM, also at the church. She will be laid to rest with family in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
