F. Patrick Zanolli, of Masury, Ohio, was received into the open arms of his beloved wife in Heaven on September 9, 2024, following a sudden illness while at home. He was 91.
Patrick was born July 31, 1933, in Fredericktown, Pennsylvania, a son to Fortunato P. Zanolli, Sr. and Anna (Dalla Santa) Zanolli.
A 1951 graduate from East Bethlehem High School, Fredericktown. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a medical technician who attained the rank of Corporal.
Following an honorable discharge, he married a beautiful gal by the name of Dolores “Dee” J. Heckman, on September 19, 1955. Together, they started a family, and born to this union were: Stephen, Janice, Scott, John, and Jeff.
He furthered his education at California University, where he received a bachelor degree in education. He found employment as an industrial arts teacher at the Brookfield Local Schools. In addition, he also taught mechanical drawing, driver’s education, photography club, as well as being a football coach for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also liked going to the Hubbard American Legion. However, being with his family gave him the most joy.
Survivors include: his children; Stephen L. Zanolli, Sr., Janice L. Zanolli, both of Masury, Scott A. Zanolli, of Berea, Ohio, John E. Zanolli, of Masury, and Jeff W. Zanolli, of Brookfield, Ohio; granddaughter; Ashley Zanolli; and his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee, who passed January 9, 2021; grandson, Stephen Zanolli Jr.; and siblings, Stelvio Zanolli, Louis Zanolli, and Dorothy Hughes.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
