Erin Catherine "Meemaw" Waldeck

Mar 6, 1957 — Jul 19, 2026

Girard

Erin Catherine “Meemaw” Waldeck, of Girard, Ohio, passed from this life on Sunday, July 19, 2026, while at home surrounded by her loving family, following a period of declining health. She was 69.

Erin was born March 6, 1957, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter to Ronald F. & Stella M. (McCarty) McCreanor.

She was a proud homemaker for her family.

In her spare time, she liked to make up silly songs, listening to music, especially Maggie May by Rod Stewart, drawing her creation called “Pignut”, reading, making Macrame, watching Westerns, Sci-fi, & scary movies, and traveling to Virginia Beach. Additionally, she was an obsessive cleaner. Erin liked the simple pleasures of life such as sitting on the glider on the front porch, watching rain storms, and dancing. She had an absolutely hilarious sense of humor and loved to shop for everyone. However, and most importantly, she adored her family and tried her best to take care of them. She will definitely be missed.

Mourning her loss are her daughters, Tangee Mary Kimberly Ferlaino (Michael), Melanie Rae Eduardo (Michael), both of Girard, and Holly Marie Cole (Will), of Warren; grandchildren, Jason Vandenberg, Devin Eduardo, Kalei Hurst, Mike Eduardo, Jr., Dominic Waldeck, Willy Eduardo, and Kyrie Cole; great-grandsons, Aiden & Alex Vandenberg; siblings, Colleen Cain, of Oklahoma, Darshelle Dollar, of Warren, and Mike McCreanor, of Vienna; as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and her husband, William Clay “Wheaties” Waldeck, whom she married June 1, 1980, he passed September 12, 2022.

A Celebration of her life will be planned and announced at a later date.
