A 1942 graduate of Brookfield High School, she married the love of her life, Frank L. Matteo, on June 15, 1946. Together, they started a family and born to this union were three daughters: Marilyn Elizabeth, Nancy, and Mary Jo.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling, gardening, and canning. She had a gift of making bread & pasta. She would often reminisce about dancing with her husband.
Her survivors include: her daughters, Marilyn Elizabeth Smolenski & her husband Lou, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nancy Pushcar & her husband Tony, of Brookfield, and Mary Jo Sanitate & her husband Chuck, of West Middlesex, PA; her grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Louis (Jill) Smolenski, Michael (Julie) Smolenski, Holly (Dr. Dominic) Lefoer, Joe Pushcar (fiancée Sue Davis), Addie (Jason) Hogg, & Ashley (Adam) Barr; her great-grandchildren, Katie, Erin, Anthony, Matteo, Carmen, Corbin, Liviana, & Angelina, whom filled her heart with joy; and her sister, Kathryn Rotunna, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died April 16, 1999; and by her siblings, Josephine Casiere, William DeMarco, Mary DeMarco, & Dominic DeMarco.
