Elenora Samuels

Elenora “Nora” Samuels, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, passed away and found eternal peace on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 73.

Elenora was born December 24, 1951, in Cheraw, South Carolina, a daughter to Charlie H. & Mamie (McQueen) Kitt.

After graduating in 1969 from Farrell High School, she attended Westminster College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Her nursing career began as a registered nurse (RN) at Jameson Memorial Hospital where she honed her skills and focused on her passion before moving on to Farrell Osteopathic Hospital. She then continued her career with Sharon Regional Hospital, North Alleghany General, The Grove Nursing Home, and culminated at Overlook Nursing Home in New Wilmington. Elenora showcased her talents in practically every health care facility throughout the valley as well as stints in Pittsburgh, PA, Baltimore, MD, Cincinnati, OH, and Florence, SC, before returning Farrell. She was well respected in her field as a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate health care provider with honor, integrity and selflessness.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, planting & gardening, trying new recipes, jigsaw puzzles, shopping and spending quality time with family. In addition, she was known as a "Team Mom" who liked being the scorekeeper for the little league baseball games. Furthermore, and without question, she loved her boys and family the most.

Mourning her loss are her sons, Brett E. Samuels, of Farrell, and Brian E. Samuels (Nicole), of San Diego, California; granddaughter, Gabriella Samuels; siblings, Linda Craig, Darlene Mitchell (Kevin), and Anthony Kitt (Letha), all of Farrell; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ernestine Kitt, Archie Kitt, Charlie "Chucky" Kitt Jr., & Ricky Kitt.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at a future date.
