“Together Again”

Edwin John Martof, of Masury, Ohio, died peacefully Sunday morning, May 3, 2015, at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, surrounded by his family following a period of declining health.

Mr. Martof was born on August 25, 1922, in Masontown, Pennsylvania, a son of Michael and Mary (Bandish) Martof.

Upon his return home, he fell in love with a neighborhood girl, Rose Stypula. They were married on May 1, 1946, in St. Mary’s Church, Crucible, Pennsylvania, and to this union eight children were born. Family gatherings were always extra special as family time meant the world to them.

He also has one brother, Lorence Martof.

Ed’s family would like to thank the amazing staff of the Hospice House for their abounding kindness and loving care. In addition, special thanks to the office of Dr. P.Y. Solanki, who was his primary care physician. Their care and concern for Ed and Rose will always be remembered. We also want to acknowledge our longtime neighbors, the Smith family, who helped our parents tremendously through the years.
