Edward "Ed" Dellarco

January 4, 1945 — June 28, 2015

Edward “Ed” A. Dellarco, of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal peace on Sunday, June 28, 2015, as he passed from this life while at home following an unexpected illness. He was 70.

Ed was born January 4, 1945, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Raymond E. & Mary (Vitello) Dellarco, Sr.

After graduating from Brookfield High School in 1963, he enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 29, 1965 to defend our flag and to keep our country free. While in the service, he completed Aeronautical Science School in 1967. His military obligation continued for the next 30 years until he retired as a Senior Master SGT.

In addition, he also retired from the Civil Service after 30 years as well. He recently had worked as an Airplane Mechanic for the DeBartolo Aviation, Vienna, and as an Instructor for the Western Reserve Flight School. In fact for the last 5 years, he was a safety instructor for the FAA, Pittsburgh.

Ed was a perfectionist and an achiever having obtained his private & commercial pilot’s license. He loved to fly. In his spare time, he was the owner & operator of EDS Motor Sports #82, Brookfield. He also was an avid Sprint Car enthusiast, racing and traveling around the United States.

He is survived by: his sister, Audrey A. Superak, Brookfield; his brother, Raymond E. "Gene" Dellarco, Jr. & his wife Jeffann, Hudson, Ohio; his nieces & nephews, Jeffrey, Bernie, & Sandy Superak, and Deneen Roa & Denell Mesa; many great nieces & nephews too; as well as his cat, Kinzer.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

A time of gathering to honor Ed will be held from 10-12 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield. His celebration continues with a funeral service at 12 PM followed by military honors.
