Dorothy Frazier

May 14, 1926 — May 14, 2017

Dorothy F. Frazier, of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal rest at 7:05 pm Sunday, the very day of her birth 91 years ago, May 14, appropriately on Mother’s Day, as if she had it planned this way, while a patient in the Liberty Arms Health Care Center, Liberty, Ohio, following a brief illness.

Dorothy was born in 1926, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Arden & Mildred (Clark) Jackson.

A 1944 graduate from Brookfield High School, she fell in love with a man by the name of Thomas E. Frazier. This courtship lead to marriage on January 20, 1947. Together they started a family and born to this union were three daughters, Rory, Colleen, and Beth Anne.

She took great pride in being a homemaker for her family. Cooking, baking, sewing, and crafting were just a few of her many talents. Along with her husband Tom, they would make various homemade crafts, comprised of wood and cloth, such as baby bibs and cloth children’s books, among other items, and offer these goods at many of the local bazaar shows.

Dorothy was a member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Order of Eastern Star #518, Hartford, Ohio. In her spare time, she loved cheering for her beloved Wisconsin Badgers, supporting her girls with the Brookfield Band Boosters, to the point of receiving a trophy stating such, and attending every sporting event her grandchildren participated in.

Her survivors include: daughters, Colleen Kinsey & husband John, Masury, Ohio, and Beth Anne Dailey & her husband James, Madison, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Kelly Thornton & her husband Thomas, and Lt. Thomas Kinsey & his wife Chae; and great grandsons, Corbin Thomas & Colton Thomas Kinsey.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Tom, who passed away April 14, 2011; daughter, Rory Bechtel; sister, Janet Zoccole; half-sisters, Hazel Hall & Laverne Hall; and half-brother, Lloyd Jackson.

A time of gathering in Dorothy’s honor will be held 5-8 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403, where O.E.S. services will conclude our evening.
