Donald "Scotty" Scott, Jr.
August 11, 1953 — October 28, 2015
Donald “Scotty” W. Scott, Jr., of Cortland, Ohio, entered eternal peace on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, as he passed from this life while at home following an extended illness. He was 62.
Donald was born August 11, 1953, in Warren, Ohio, a son to Donald W. & Lois Evelyn (Wolff) Scott-Roh, Sr.
After graduating from Mathews High School in 1971, he found employment at Aerolite Extrusion Co. where he worked as a Supervisor for almost 24 years.
Scotty was a past-president of the United Steel Workers; a member of the Vienna AMVETS; and had attended the Vienna United Methodist Church.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing golf, cheering on Dale Jr. in every NASCAR race, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes & Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, he believed in playing the Lottery, scratch off tickets were his choice.
He is survived by: his mother, Evelyn, Cortland; his daughters, Erica Guenther, California, Cassandra D. Fellenger, Warren, and Natalie A. Wright & her husband Matt, Youngstown, Ohio; his sisters, Sandra Phillips & her husband Tom Sappington, Port Charlotte, Florida, Donna Puckett, Houston, Texas, and Betsy Scott & her companion, Tim Myers, Vienna, Ohio; Donald's companion, Sharon Wick; and his four grandchildren.
His father and a sister, Sue Ann Hines preceded him in death.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
