Diane Mesmer

Diane M. Mesmer, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in the Emergency Room of Sharon Regional Health Care System. She was 60.
Diane was born April 13, 1955, in Limestone, Maine, a daughter to Guy & Constance J. (Tardiff) Villella.
She worked as a former loan officer for Bank One, Mellon Bank, and Mahoning National Bank. However, most recently she worked as an accounting clerk for Interstate Chemical Company, Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her Pittsburgh Steelers; going to Sharon Speedway; cooking; and decorating her home.
Diane’s final gift was of herself. It is now time for her to move on, into the dusk but also the dawn. She will remain as the morning comes, as she left behind a gift for someone. So another may walk, may talk, may see, where something in their life was locked, she offered them a key. Diane was a donor, giving to someone in need, her final gift, her final deed.
She is survived by: her husband William “Bill” E. Mesmer, whom she married May 11, 2002; her children, Michelle Kamzelski-Batenburg & her husband Nick, Raylond, Ohio, and Ryan Halicki, Boardman, Ohio; her siblings, Gina Lober & her husband Kenny, Gallatin, Tennessee, George Cummings Jr. & his wife Kimberly, Brewer, Maine, and Richard Dutton, Bangor, Maine; her grandchildren, Teegan, Mikayla, Ashton, Madison, Olivia, Kobe, Ethan, & Hallee; her step-children, William Mesmer, Rachel Mesmer, both of Brookfield, and Jordan Mesmer, Sharon, Pennsylvania; her brother-in-law, John Mesmer & his wife Nancy, Hubbard, Ohio, and her sister-in-law, Peggy Kekich & her husband Pete, Brookfield; and her beloved puppy, Zena.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Villella; by her mother, Constance J. Cummings; by her step-father, George Cummings, Sr.; and a beloved puppy, Shelby.
A time of gathering to honor Diane’s life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 5-8 PM and Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 10-11 AM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the Historic Village Green, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home.
