Denise C. Underwood

Denise C. Underwood, 78, passed away April 18, 2026. She was born November 5, 1947, to the late Charles and Frances Egan.

She was raised in Hubbard, Ohio, and lived most of her life in Hartford, Ohio. Denise loved animals and devoted much of her time to caring for them.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Kenneth) Hunkus, and Donna Nearhoof; her grandson, Nick Rhoades, with whom she lived; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Underwood; sisters, Nancy Cusik, and identical twin, Diane Adamson, whom she missed every day; and two grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff of 2W at UPMC Horizon and Family Hospice for their exceptional care.

Per Denise’s wishes, no services will be held.
