Denise Gamble

Denise Jean Gamble, of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at 3:12 AM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, while a patient in Sharon Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was 61.

Denise was born on September 25, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter to Nick & Mary (Aspromatis) Koukis.

She graduated from Hickory High School in 1972 and worked as an operator for the hearing impaired at AT&T Communications, New Castle, Pennsylvania. In addition, she went to cosmetology school to become a licensed beautician. However, her favorite job was when she transported the mentally challenged around Mercer County.

Denise had a strong passion for saving & rescuing animals, sheltered abused animals, and volunteering at the humane society. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, cross stitch, needle work, and shopping on EBay. Most precious to her heart was spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by: her mother, Mary Diebold, Brookfield, Ohio; her husband, William B. Gamble; her son, Jim Sinkuc & his wife Shelley, Brookfield; her grandchildren, Josh & Ciara Sinkuc; and her brother, George Koukis, Brookfield.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A time of gathering to honor Denise will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, St. Bernadette Parish, 7800 Locust Street, Masury, Ohio 44438. She will be laid to rest with her family in America’s Cemetery, Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
