Cornelius “Corn” Teague was born on October 1, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harvey D. and Maggie L. (Nichols) Teague, who both preceded him in death along with several sisters and brothers. He was the baby boy of thirteen children.
Corn worked as an attendant for a livery service while he lived in Chicago. As a teen, his travels then took him to various states, one of his favorites being Oklahoma, where he enjoyed spending time with a plethora of aunts, uncles, and cousins. After his stay in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he then moved to Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he further enjoyed spending time with a surplus of family. This is where he settled down and met his fiancée, Elaine.
He was an avid gun collector who enjoyed listening to music, shooting pool, and traveling. He was always up for a good time, a cold beer, and a great conversation. He was a man that truly loved life. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched, especially his bonus children who affectionally referred to him as Poppa Corn.
Corn departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026, at UPMC – Shenango Valley Campus after a battle with cancer.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée, Elaine Taylor; her children and grandchildren; sister, Willie Dean; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A time of gathering in his honor will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 10-11 AM, in the Chapel at Morefield Cemetery, just off Maple Drive and Morefield Road in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be offered at 11:00 AM, also at the Chapel.
