Corine “Reenie” Peagler, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, transitioned to eternity on Monday, July 13, 2026, while at home and surrounded by the love of her family, following an extended illness. She was 86.

Ms. Corine was born on December 19, 1939, in Warrenton, Georgia, a daughter to Julius B. Heath and Ruby Ivey.

She graduated from Sharon High School in 1957.

Corine was known affectionately by her family as "Poppop". She was a proud homemaker for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking. She was known for her mac & cheese, stuffed cabbage, and collard greens, just to mention a few. Additionally, she loved to help people, and she drove everyone anywhere before Uber was a thing. She had a kind heart and looked after folks that needed help.

Corine was a devoted member and president of the usher board at her previous church and was strong in her Christian faith. Reenie sought encouragement through gospel music and scripture. She dedicated her life to caretaking for her children, grandchildren, and anyone in need. She loved her siblings and spoke to them frequently. For many years family reunions were planned - including many destinations. Corine’s memory will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched. Well known by many throughout the community, she was admired for her warm heart, wisdom, and her caring spirit. Her love and guidance shaped generations of her family. Corine always knew what to say. She was a source of wisdom, strength, and comfort to her family, always offering guidance, encouragement, and love. Her wisdom and life lessons will continue to guide her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. She shared a lifetime of love, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through her family.

Survivors include; children, Jacqueline "Jackie'' McKinley (Tony), of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Nicole "Nikki" Heath, Tine Peagler, Jr., both of Farrell, Pennsylvania, Edwin "Winky" L. Peagler, and Colleen D. Peagler, both of Sharon, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Natisha Smith, Corey A. Heath, Imani R. McKinley, Tori C. McKinley, Simeon A. McKinley, Anna Corine McKinley, Khalil J. Heath, Zavannah Peagler, Malachi Euer, Nevaeh Peagler, Amir Peagler, Ileen M. Friday, & Calysse C. Friday; great-grandchildren, Malayah Pinkins, Meiah C. Pinkins, Thalia Pinkins, Saniya Heath, Corjon Heath, Nadia Thomas, RoShawn Thomas, + 2 on the way; great-great-grandson, Christian Pinkins; brother, Jesse James "JJ" Heath, of Thompson, Georgia; sisters, Clara Evans, of Thompson, and Wilhemina Jones (Richard), of Sharon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tine Peagler Sr., who passed June 7, 1999; and daughter, Christine Heath.

A Home Going Service to celebrate Corine's life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM, in the Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Rd., Farrell, where family & friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. She will be laid to rest in Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
