Christina "Tina" Dillon-Rodgers

September 25, 1956 — December 9, 2016

Christina “Tina” M. Dillon-Rodgers, of Youngstown, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord at 7:37 PM on Friday, December 9, 2016, while a patient at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following an extended illness. She was 60.

Ms. Christina was born on September 25, 1956, in Youngstown, a daughter to Matthew & Dorothy (Drake) Dillon.

A 1974 graduate from Boardman High School, she worked a variety of occupations throughout her life, such as a cosmetologist, a state tested nurse assistant, and she even owned & operated a floral shop in North Lima, Ohio.

She attended the Greater New & Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith Church, Sharon, Pennsylvania, and in her spare time, she enjoyed drinking Diet Pepsi, playing around on Facebook, watching her favorite movies "Karate Kid"& "Rocky", and listening to Dolly Parton & Tina Turner. However, spending time with all 18 of her grandchildren meant the world to her.

She is survived by: her mother, Dorothy “Dottie” Drake, Boardman, Ohio; her children, Rocky P. Dillon-DeFrank & his wife Alecia, Youngstown, Ricco Acevedo, Conneaut, Ohio, Rachel Acevedo, Columbus, Ohio, and Dawn Devilla, Jersey City, New Jersey; her sisters, Nanette Dillon, Canfield, Ohio, Sylvia Dillon, Boardman, and Flo Dillon, Washingtonville, Ohio; her 18 grandchildren; and her extended family too.

She was preceded in death by her father; husband, James W. Rodgers, who died May 8, 2015; son, Shawn Rodgers; and brother, Matthew Dillon, Jr.

A celebration of life service honoring Ms. Christina will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 6:30 PM in the Greater New & Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith Church, located at 840 Highland Rd., Sharon, Pennsylvania, 16146.
